African Violets
Tips
It is strange how crazy people get about flowers. Up to a
year ago, I couldn't care less about them. You see, I have
always had what I would call a brown thumb. By that I mean
that I cannot make anything grow. All I could do is make
plants die. I was never all that depressed about my amazing
ability to kill plants. I always took it as just the way
things were. Getting my first African Violet, however,
changed all of that.
If you've never grown African violets, you can not understand
what you are missing out on. African violets are absolutely
beautiful. They often have vibrant purple flowers, but can
come in many different colors including pink, blue, red, yellow,
and several others. You would not believe how brightly these
things reflect the light. They practically glow. But
the best thing about growing Africanviolets is not how they look,
but what they can do for someone like me who has never succeeded in
keeping a plant alive before. They actually got me interested
in flora.
You see African violets, besides being some of the most
beautiful flowering plants, are also some of the easiest to
grow. They can live in a diverse range of different climates,
so you do not have to worry about getting the sunlight and the
water just right.

Facts
And unlike many plants, they need very little space to
grow. When you grow Africanviolets, you do not have to
constantly upgrade the size of the pot. On the contrary, they
do better in a smaller space!
Of course, everyone can succeed with growing cactuses, but
African violets are not very much harder to keep alive. If
you have never had much success with plants, or if you just want a
beautiful dash of color to brighten up your living room, African
violets might be just the answer. Caring for African violets
is easy, but they do require some work. Therefore, when you
grow African Violet plants, it will serve as an introduction to the
world of plant care. Before you know it, you'll move on to
bigger and better things.
Who knows, one day you might be growing orchids. Anything
is possible once you learn the basics of plant care. I
promise that if you give it a try, you will love this exciting
hobby. It is just a matter of starting out on the right
foot.
